Hi, I’m Becky — but please, never Rebecca! 😉
Welcome to my little corner of the internet — where muddy boots, morning chores, and messy buns meet heart, humor, and homemade goodness.
I’m the proud mom of three teenagers who are currently doing their best to raise me, and honestly, they’re not doing half bad. Between family life, my full-time job as a lab assistant, and what’s basically turned into a small farm-turned-zoo, there’s never a dull moment — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I started homesteading with a few chickens and a dream of living a simpler, more self-sufficient life. Fast forward a few years, and now I’m knee-deep in critters, gardens, and life lessons that only the homestead can teach.
But this journey isn’t just about farming — it’s about balance. Between work, motherhood, and homesteading, I’ve learned that “doing it all” isn’t the goal. Doing what matters, one small step at a time, is.
That’s why I started this blog: to share my experiences, wins, mistakes, and mindset shifts — all in hopes of inspiring others to start where they are. Whether you have a backyard, balcony, or a few acres, homesteading is for anyone willing to get their hands a little dirty and their heart a little fuller.
Here, you’ll find practical tips, relatable stories, recipes from scratch, DIY projects, and plenty of encouragement for the journey.
